  1. Dear Readers, I'm so glad you found your way here.

As many of you know, Ms. Langtry's blog 'Ladies becoming Maids' has been on a bit of a hiatus for the past few months. While we all wish her the absolute best and hope to see her back soon, I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer for the next chapter of my story 'Biometrics Don't lie'.

To keep our momentum going, I've set up this space as a provisional home for Part 24 (and any upcoming chapters) until Ms. Langtry is ready to resume updates on her site.

    A few things to note:
    1) Parts 1 through 23 still live at https://lady2maid.blogspot.com/, which remains the official home of the series.
    2) If and when Ms. Langtry returns, I'll be happy to move these new updates back to her blog so the entire story stays in one place.
    3) I'll be posting updates here for the time being, so feel free to bookmark https://maidlyinlove.blogspot.com/.

Thank you all for being such an incredible, vocal, and supportive audience. Your enthusiasm is exactly why I wanted to make sure Part 24 found its way to you.

    Happy reading!

    your humble maid Melissa

  2. So first I happy to see that whatever has happended with laidsbecomingmaids has not stopped this story. There far too many unfinished stories on internet (and in general) so it is always nice to see a story avoid such fate. Hopefully the sitaution improves.

As for the chapter itself I'm going to be less positive. Take it as a compliment. Unlike many I do not spend much time complaining about stories that I dislike. So when I do complain it does paradoxically mean that I do like the story.

I'm not too keen on Melissa becoming a headmaid or lady's maid. First while still a servant is a position of too much autority for my taste.

Second is much better. It does involve personal service which is something I like. Servitude to somoene as opposed to something is intimate in my view. Less positively such a maid does not
wear an uniform and I like uniforms. Admiteldly this is a story a not reality so I does not have to be that way. Especilly on an obscure trivia like this.

More importantly lady's maid cleans hair not floor or other "dirty" work. And I like Melissa
scrubing floor on her knees (and she does does like cleaning in particular according to some previous chapter).

Of corse it none of this is future so maybe I'm being too paranoid here. That is what happens when you have an obscure interest like this. You see signs of problems everwhere.

As for present. I expected Melissa to receive a beating again that was rather given. Did not expect it involving the dean and a paddle. That was interesting. Melissa continues to try to fight her desires. Not too suprising in hidsight, but I did not expect it. Lately it seemed that she is succuming to them, but I guess she is more strong willied that I assumed. Not bad I suppose.

Overall, I'm little worried what happens next, but good if not particuarly exceptional chapter.

  3. Oh, I am so relieved to see this story continue! Thank you for the update.

My heart just ached for Melissa in this chapter. The way Mrs. Cavendish tried to twist her intelligence into a 'specialty' for a maid academy was so manipulative: it’s like she's trying to put a gold-plated cage around her dreams of being an astronaut. I love that despite the humiliation and that confusing, vulnerable reaction to the paddle, Melissa’s inner spark hasn't gone out. That 'defiant spark' is everything!

The moment with Mrs. Henderson at the end was so unexpected, too. Seeing that tiny crack in her armor makes me wonder if she sees a bit of her younger self in Melissa. But I’m still so nervous! Can Melissa actually trust Miss Delgado to pull her out of this, or is the lawyer just another part of the system waiting to betray her? I really hope she gets justice before Elmwood breaks her spirit completely. Can't wait for the next part!

  4. Oh my gosh, I am so glad this story is back! My heart was actually racing during that scene with the dean. The way she used Melissa’s own intelligence as a reason to push her further into servitude is so manipulative—offering a 'prestigious' maid academy as a reward for being broken? It’s chilling!

And that ending with Mrs. Henderson... I did not see that moment of vulnerability coming. It makes you wonder what she went through at Sainte-Claire to make her so tough yet secretly empathetic.

Now that the 'punishment' is over, I’m dying to see the fallout in the servants' quarters. How is Sabrina going to react when she sees Melissa back? Is she going to be smug, or is there a sisterhood there?

  5. Very good, thank you Melissa for the beautiful writing. Hope long hands on head corner time punishments will be part of the St Claire Academy 😉☺️

  6. Ugh, Part 24 was absolutely heart-wrenching to read! I am still fuming over how unfair that paddling was.

Mrs. Cavendish is truly the worst kind of hypocrite—admitting that Melissa has a "sharp mind" and "excellent grasp of the material," only to immediately use that as an excuse to put her "in her place" with such a brutal, outdated punishment. It's infuriating that she uses Melissa's status as a servant to bypass the rules that protect the students. The way she mocked Melissa's reaction to the pain was just the icing on a very cruel cake.

I really hope Melissa is playing the long game here. Seeing her hold onto her dream of becoming an astronaut while being told she's "destined to serve" is so inspiring, but also so painful. I'm crossing my digits that she eventually turns the tables on this whole institution.

How satisfying would it be if the story ends with a total power reversal? I would love nothing more than to see the Dean lose her position of power and literally get a taste of her own paddle. She needs a serious reality check on what it feels like to be on the other side of that "visceral experience."
